Give Them Shelter: 2011 Walk for Toledo's Homeless
is designed to bring awareness to the reality of family
homelessness while raising money to support Family
Promise of Greater Toledo
- Check in at 8:45 a.m. at the Ottawa Park Shelter House on Kenwood Rd., near Gunckel Ave.
- The first walkers will be released onto the path at 9:00 am, and the last walkers should be on the path by 10:00 am.
- Please allow time to park, make your way to the Shelter House, and check in.
- At check-in, walkers receive t-shirts, and water
bottles.
- Please be prepared to turn in completed pledge sheets and any money collected that has not been previously turned-in.
Check In
- The Toledo Hospital Jobst Parking Garage, Ottawa Park Ice Rink, Zambonie Garage and the Parks & Recreation Office.
- Parking on side streets is limited. Please be courteous to our Ottawa Park neighbors. Don't block their driveways.
- Don't park on the grass! Your car will be ticketed and towed at your expense.
Where to Park
- Stay on the paved path.
- If you walk at a leisurely pace, please allow faster walkers to move ahead of you.
- Dispose of all litter in trash cans.
